The Kansas City Chiefs officially have a new offensive coordinator.
In an expected move, the Chiefs have promoted senior assistant and QB coach Matt Nagy to offensive coordinator. This marks Nagy’s second stint as offensive coordinator in Kansas City. He spent five seasons as the Chiefs’ quarterbacks coach from 2013-15, was the co-offensive coordinator with Brad Childress in 2016 and was the sole offensive coordinator during Alex Smith’s best season back in 2017.
Nagy returned to Kansas City in 2022 after a stretch as the Chicago Bears’ head coach from the 2018-2021 NFL season.
