Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has a comeback season incoming. However, he probably will not play the whole season, as he recovers from a torn ACL.
Some project he could miss as much as half the season.
This is a big reason why he is considered a longshot to win the MVP award this coming season, per BetMGM Sportsbook odds.
Murray is currently listed with +5000 or 50/1 odds to win the NFL MVP award. He has only 1.96% implied odds of winning it.
Other quarterbacks with the same +5000 odds are the Packers’ Jordan Love, the Steelers’ Kenny Pickett, The Rams’ Matthew Stafford, the Vikings’ Kirk Cousins and the Giants’ Daniel Jones.
Murray has longer odds than Derek Carr (now on the Saints) and the Lions’ Jared Goff, which in other season would seem ridiculous.
Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow and Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes are co-favorites to win it at +650, with Buffalo’s Josh Allen right behind at +750.
