77 days till the Arizona Cardinals’ season opener: Stats for No. 77

We are in countdown mode to the start of the season. The Arizona Cardinals will kick off the 2023 regular season in 77 days on September 10 on the road against the Washington Commanders.

It will be the official beginning of the Jonathan Gannon era as head coach.

McHan played quarterback for the Cardinals from 1954-1958. He threw 77 interceptions, the fifth-most in franchise history.

Gonzalez made 77 extra points (out of 80 attempts) for the Cardinals as their kicker from 2018-2020.

Between 1960-1962, Gerry Perry, who was also a tackle, kicked 77 extra points, making 73 of them.

Three Cardinals had 77 catches in a season.

Larry Centers did it in 1994. Steve Breaston had 77 catches (and 1,006 yards) in 2008. Christian Kirk caught 77 passes in 2021 before signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Two kickers had 77 points in a season.

Jim Bakken made 44 extra points and 11 field goals in 1963.

Greg Davis scored 77 with 17 extra points and 20 field goals in 1994.
