The Kansas City Chiefs narrowly escaped their Week 4 matchup against the New York Jets with a victory on Sunday night. Taylor Swift was in attendance for the hard-fought win and dominated the television broadcast as cameramen panned to her star-studded suite throughout the night.
The budding romance between the 12-time Grammy winner and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been the subject of endless speculation around the country in recent weeks and, as a result, an entirely new audience has been tuning into Kansas City’s games.
Thousands of so-called ‘Swifties’ took to Twitter to document their experience witnessing the Chiefs win, though many were more curious about what the country music superstar was doing while the game was being played.
For some, this may have been an introduction to American gridiron football, and for others, it was just another week of following one of the most iconic artists of the 21st century.
