The Kansas City Chiefs escaped their Week 6 tilt against the Denver Broncos with a win, and despite their two-score margin of victory, dominated their divisional rival in all four quarters.
While this may not have been the flashiest victory of the Patrick Mahomes era, Kansas City got the job done against a Broncos team that played with reckless abandon after a short week of rest.
No wins come easy in the NFL, and this gritty triumph by the Chiefs was a good indicator that Kansas City can still compete, even if its offense falters a bit in the process. Success in primetime has become a hallmark of Andy Reid’s tenure with the Chiefs, and this game constituted Kansas City’s 16th straight victory over Denver.
Fans on Twitter reacted to the win late in the fourth quarter and after the final whistle late on Thursday night.

Chiefs now hold the NFL’s longest active winning streak vs. one team, beating the Broncos 16 consecutive times.

The chiefs offense get the benefit of the doubt cause they always hit stride late November December but it’s very frustrating to watch even tho it will all be fine and we’ll be playing in arrowhead championship Sunday

Dawg I’m not convinced by the chiefs

Mahomes threw 40 times and the Chiefs scored 19…omg, is this a REGRESSION?!? 😱

The last time the broncos beat the chiefs I didn’t have my driver license yet. I turn 24 next month… just disgusting.

The notion that a Chiefs WR *HAD* to break out was not rooted in precedent or common sense.
If you don’t have concentrated routes, you don’t have a breakout.
With that said, Rice has a chance.

The Chiefs might have some trouble if they ever play anyone good

Chiefs covered the 10.5 spread. Thursday night games never easy

Recap of TNF
Broncos defense played well but Russell Wilson and the play calling were abysmal.
Chiefs redzone offense was awful but they found a way to win with Kelce rebounding in a big way.
At some point these cute play calls Andy Reid calls will haunt Kansas City.

A reminder, while the Chiefs offense still hasn’t figured it all out, they are the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

The reality in the NFL is division opponents are always tough no matter how bad.
I didn’t take too much stock into Miami only winning by seven on the road in NE. Chiefs will be fine, albeit they do look mortal

the royals have won a world series more recent than the broncos have beat the chiefs

Glad the Chiefs were able to have a “get right” game against the worst defense in the NFL. Woof.
— Big Dummy (@UncleMarty1517) October 13, 2023
Mahomes has played 100 games and won 80 of them.. that’s nuts!

The CHIEFS have a top 5 defense through the first six weeks of the season
…and they get Charles Omenihu back next week 😊

Jerry Jeudy will be a Chief when KC lands in Denver in 2 weeks.

It certainly seems like the Chiefs are trying to play on “All-Madden” mode while only running trick plays. It’s like a test of strength.

Justin Reid has been underrated. Filled in for Honey Badger really well
Also, our linebackers are studs.
Unlike when we had honey badger, no real superstar on that D aside Chris Jones but lots of very good players.
McDuffie is someone to watch
