The Arizona Cardinals made one notable roster move this week, trading quarterback Josh Dobbs to the Minnesota Vikings. However, that was not the only move they made this week.
They made a small move on the 53-man roster and several moves on the practice squad.
Let’s take a look at those moves.
The Cardinals signed Baccellia from the practice squad to the active roster on Sunday so he could play against the Ravens. He returned kicks.
On Monday, the team did not announce it, but he was released. He cleared waivers on Tuesday and likely will be re-signed to the practice squad on Wednesday.
Williams played only three snaps on Sunday before exiting with a foot injury. He reverted to the practice squad on Monday and, on Tuesday was placed on the practice squad injured reserve along with Smith.
It has been a rough time for both White and Slade. They have been signed and cut to the practice squad multiple times this year.
After getting re-signed to the practice squad last week, they were released on Tuesday.
Gurman, who worked out with the team last week, was signed to the practice squad. He is 6-3 and 305 pounds. He has not yet played a game in the NFL. He was an undrafted rookie in 2022 out of Toledo. He spent parts of last season and this season on the practice squad of the Las Vegas Raiders.
